Winter in the Garden

Therapeutic Gardening Best Practices, Pitfalls, and Meaningful Play
Picture
Maximizing Usage of a Winter Therapeutic Garden

I am thrilled to invite you to an afternoon at Ryall Garden in the off season, because I am eager to share my stories and experiences with winter therapeutic gardening in the lower mainland.

As one of the people who helped dream this garden into existence, I want to share what has worked, what has not, and why I am so inspired to keep people connecting with nature throughout the Canadian winter months!

We will discuss (and likely experience) some of the challenges associated with providing outdoor therapeutic gardening programs in the winter – and hopefully also enjoy some of the added magic!

Dress for the weather and join me for an afternoon welcoming you into this space that is open to the public and designed with Therapeutic Gardening at its forefront.

*Comfort Reminder:  Be prepared to enjoy all that nature brings! There will be no shelter provided for this event and this is a very open site. The Queensborough Community Centre is located just across from the parking lot for washrooms and drinking water.
