|
Cheney Creamer is an Organizational Wellness Consultant, HeartMath® Certified Coach, and Horticultural Therapy Specialist. She provides customized workplace wellness programs, individual and group coaching, guided mindfulness hikes, as well as interactive workshops and keynote presentations.
She is a dedicated personal coach, dynamic professional facilitator, and experienced organizational learning & development consultant who prides herself on delivering innovative solutions and unique learning experiences. For the past 20+ years, Cheney has been working in the field of human wellness with a specific focus on personal & organizational development. From 2002-2015 Cheney was a core team member of Insights Learning & Development (Vancouver) where she served clients in a variety of roles such as Senior Learning Consultant & Coach, Virtual Learning Specialist (V.F.T.C.), and Manager of Integrated Learning Solutions. Specializing in designing and delivering programs related to stress management, adapting to change, authentic interpersonal communications, and building resilience, for both in-person and virtual learning environments, she has been studying and applying Horticultural Therapy methods to all of her work since 2011. She is an Organic Master Gardener (O.M.G.), a dedicated advocate for environmental awareness, and has focused her life, work, and studies around issues of social and interpersonal psychology, nature based therapies, native plants and medicine, and our relationships to food production and consumption. Cheney is inspired by coaching individuals and teams to live their dreams and experience their highest potential. She is a published author (A Cookbook & Guide to a Healthier Earth and Changing Lifestyles), and has worked in the corporate sector as a business owner, writer, editor, keynote speaker, program director, manager, and expert facilitator. As an accomplished vegetarian chef she took great pride and joy in her success as the creator, owner, and operator of The Thymes Modern Eatery; the only vegetarian restaurant in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for many years. With extensive experience working in the not-for-profit (or social profit) world, some of her proudest moments were as the Program Coordinator for the Vancouver Good Food Box, and Breakfast Program Coordinator for Collingwood Neighbourhood House. A love for expanding relationships through food combined with a community wide need in East Vancouver led her to introduce, design, and facilitate a “Healthy Food = Healthy Communities” program for Native Housing Cooperatives in the Lower Mainland. Currently, Cheney is expanding her coaching and horticultural therapy practice, creating cutting-edge virtual learning tools for ‘wellness through the web’, and developing workplace wellness programs that create healthier workplaces and help people to move through organizational and life changes with grace and ease. Inspiring people to de-stress, have more fun, and explore new and unique ways to reconnect with themselves, each other, and nature is Cheney’s personal mission. Discovering human potential through exploration of the natural world is her greatest passion. |
